CANDLE CARE & INSTRUCTIONS

Safety

Always place your candle on a heat resistant surface away from drafts and never leave it burning unattended. Keep children and pets away from burning candles.

When your candle has 1-2cm of unmelted wax remaining it is time to clean out and use your lovely jars for another purpose. Never burn your candle further than this point as it can cause the glass to overheat & break.

Burn Memory

The first time you burn a candle is important as it creates a burn memory. On your first burn, allow the melt pool to reach the edge of the jar before extinguishing. This can ttake between 1-4 hours depending on the size of your jar. By creating a burn memory, it will prevent the candle from burning in an irregular way around the wick (tunnelling).

Trimming the wick

Wicks should be trimmed to ¼ inch prior to each lighting. This will ensure the flame remains clean & bright & will also reduce blackening of the jar.
